The Promise of Salvation

When is The Promise of Salvation first preached and fulfilled? Acts 2:1-47. Note Peter's words in Acts 2:39, "For the Promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself."

Where is it Found and What is The Original "Gospel" Promise? Genesis 12:3 b...

"And in [through] you [Abram] all the families of the earth will be blessed..." (See Galatians 3:8 & "Gospel").

What Does That Promise Mean? Genesis 17:7

Genesis 17:7 " I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant to be God to you and to your descendants after you." Covenant here and throughout the the New Testament means "will" as in "Last Will & Testament." Correctly substitute will for covenant here and it reads: an everlasting will to be God to you and to your descendants." Point: God Promises to have a Father-Son Inheritance Relationship (F-SIR) with Abraham and his heirs that will last forever! God uses circumcision in Genesis 17 to adopt Abram as His son and thus heir (Galatians 4:7.)

Explain How Genesis 17:7 and The Promise Work? Genesis 18:19

An inheritance promise of a will is made between the father and his son-called the testator and heir. The promise is the inheritance gift, which is an everlasting relationship resulting in eternal salvation. In a will, its maker- the father- sets the conditions (terms) that he requires the son to fulfill to inherit. God's required terms for Abraham and his heirs to inherit are found in Genesis 18:19. It reveals why God chose Abraham and his heirs and their purpose in life: Genesis 18:19 " For  I have chosen him, so that 1) he may command his children and his household after him 2) to keep The Way of the LORD 3) by [the example of] doing righteousness and justice, [the results:] so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken [promised] about him."

Is The Way of the Lord Command Somewhere Else in the Bible? Yes, Proverbs 22:6

"Train up a child in The Way he should go; Even when he is old he will not depart from it." God commands all parents to fully "train up" their children in The Way; and, the hidden promise of Proverbs 22:6 is that each child will never depart "The Way"- this is a guarantee of promised salvation (compare 1 Timothy 4:16).

What is The Way? Proverbs Chapters 1-9

The way is how each father is commanded to train his son to inherit the promised gift of salvation. This father-son inheritance relationship (f-sir) is explained in detail in Proverbs 1-9. It is based on Father-God's Inheritance Relationship (F-SIR) with Abraham according to Genesis 17:7 & 18:19. The Way is commanded in Genesis 18:19 and Proverbs 22:6, and it is summarized by Jesus in his Matthew 4:4 Proverb as: "Living daily by God's every biblical Word results in living forever - being saved!"

How is the  Inheritance Promise of Salvation Extended from Abraham to All Men? Galatians 3:26-29

Galatians 3:26-29, "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourself with Christ. There is neither Jew of Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants [Genesis 17:7], heirs according to promise."
